The James Royal Ealing Club Reunion
Wednesday 24th July @ 8:00 PM
James Royal hailed from South Ealing and became a regular performer at the legendary basement bar where so many musicians headed to experience the sounds of the new London R & B movement of the early 1960s.
His vocal prowess attracted recording contracts that led to the creation of momentous tracks such as ‘House of Jack’ and ‘Call My Name’.
James now resides in Australia but thanks to a short visit back to London on Wednesday 24 July at 8pm at the historic Red Room we have been able to bring together an impromptu performance that will be led by James and a terrific line-up of backing musicians.
Already confirmed on drums James will have Richard Hudson formerly of the Strawbs and on the bass Deep Purple founding member Nick Simper. Terry Marshall is set to complement this venerable line-up on sax.
Not to be missed!
