Stone Alone – Bill Wyman

The book “Stone Alone” by Rolling Stones’ bass guitarist, Bill Wyman with Ray Coleman recounts the story of a “Rock and Roll band”. Each of the 22 official “Rollin’ Stone” gigs at the Ealing club are listed together with mentions of the first jams of Mick, Keith and Brian Jones at the club. The core of the Rolling Stones first met at the Ealing Club in April 1962.

Alexis Korner had persuaded Ealing Jazz Club to embark on its major contribution to changing the face of popular music by opening its doors to rhythm and blues. It became the first club in Britain to do so.
