Sounds Like London with Louise Marshall & The Brethren

The Ealing Club CIC is delighted to be supporting #SoundsLikeLondon, the Mayor of London’s month-long celebration of the city’s grassroots music scene. We’re presenting very special night on 22 June in our Ealing Eclectic MusicSpace series of live music events.

In the centenary year of women’s right to vote, #SoundsLikeLondon is highlighting the contribution made by women in the music industry.

Ealing has a history of nurturing many legendary female figures in music – from Dusty Springfield and Dame Cleo Laine to Kirsty MacColl. And in recent years out own events have helped champion a number of the female stars of tomorrow including: Du Bellows, Northsyde, Azadeh and Namvula.

On Friday 22 June at the Brentham Club, Meadvale Lane, Ealing W5 1NP we’re delighted to be presenting Louise Marshall & The Brethren.

Louise is one of the most sought-after session singers in the UK and has worked with Jools Holland, Van Morrison, David Gilmour, Chris Difford, Robbie Williams, Bryan Ferry, Ronnie Wood, Madeline Bell, Steve Winwood, Paul Young, Solomon Burke, Edwin Starr, Ronnie Wood, Karl Jenkins and John Rutter, and the BBC Big Band in tributes to Ella Fitzgerald and Aretha Franklin.

She says of the forthcoming 22nd June gig:  “Looking forward to getting some grooves and cool sounds with my trusty band members, Luke Smith, Dave Ital, Westley Joseph and Steve Pearce.”

It will be a rare opportunity to see a fantastic talent in an intimate setting.
