Ealing Club Presents

LIVE MUSIC in central Ealing has been given a boost of late with the emergence of “Ealing Club Presents”. This new initiative supported by Ealing Broadway BID Company hopes to encourage other venues and hopefully even more music fans to start enjoying LIVE Music

Warm up evenings have brought backing from the Strummerville Foundation, XFM and BBC6 Radio DJ Tom Ravenscroft who attended the opening night at the Drapers Arms back in August.

Friday 3rd October at the Drapers Arms was well on the way to attracting a full house with bands including the Blue Valentines (Bluesy folk combo) Harry Macintosh Project and Ealing Club stalwarts Du Bellows.  Thanks to some tweeks to the PA & backline by Martin Bonner/David Watkinson who also helped stage SOUNDBITE 2014 Ealing Club Presents looks set to become a regular feature in the local calendar.

“DU BELLOWS are by far one of the most interesting and musically adept bands I have seen recently. There is a cosmic counterpoint alive and well here.” – JIMMY PAGE

Where else are you gonna hear The Sonics and AC/DC in a DJ set at the end of an evening. The next ‘Ealing Club Presents’ night is set for the 7th of NOVEMBER with local and emerging band Jacob & Goliath kicking off proceedings.

By the way we’ve heard there’s going to be a full house at the NEW INN on South Ealing Road this Friday Night (10th October). Bob Knight who played SoundBite 2014 is backing vocalist Annabel Williams with special guest JJ Appleton. A Bluesy/soul set is assured

Maybe Ealing isn’t just THE END OF THE LINE. It could be the start of something?
