The story of Brian Jones is featured on the front cover of Mojo Magazine (August 2012) and highlights his role in bringing the Rolling Stones together and helping them pursue an authentic blues sound.
Brian Jones was regarded by many as one of the most gifted musicians in the early days of the band. A fact that was evident on his first slide guitar performance in front of Mick Jagger and Keith Richards (The Ealing Club, April 1962)
This feature story written by Paul Trynka is certainly worth a read and contains some great background to the early days and influences of the Rolling Stones.
Check out the section on the Ealing Club page 75….well worth a read!
Hopefully, Ealing will sell out of Mojo Magazine this week!
