British Rhythm Blues and Live Music at London 2012

On 17th March 2012, a celebration to commemorate the beginning of BRITISH RHYTHM AND BLUES was held in Ealing Broadway, at the same venue where fifty years before, Alexis Korner and Cyril Davies had brought their group of musicians, Blues Incorporated to experiment with “electric blues”.

In 1962, the Ealing Club would bring together the Rolling Stones as a band. Young musicians such as Eric Clapton, Rod Stewart, Pete Townshend, Eric Burdon, Paul Jones would also be given a chance to experiment with the blues.

To commemorate the Home of British Rhythm and Blues in 2012 and help ensure an ongoing LIVE MUSIC culture, The Ealing Club is involved with a number of events this year, that include:

The Ealing Club Blue Plaque

Ealing Live Music & Gigs

July 2012 - Exhibition

The Ealing Blues Festival - 21st July 2012
